The Ghana Education Service (GES) has dismissed reports of an ongoing recruitment exercise circulating on social media, describing them as false and misleading.
A letter being shared online claims that financial clearance has been granted for the recruitment of 50,000 teaching and non-teaching staff. However, GES management has strongly denied issuing such a letter.
In a statement dated Sunday, September 21, 2025, and signed by the Head of Public Relations, Daniel Fenny, the Service clarified: “Management wishes to state that the letter is FAKE and did not originate from GES. No such recruitment exercise has been announced yet.”
GES further stressed that all official recruitment announcements will be communicated only through its authorized platforms and those of the Ministry of Education.
The Service has therefore urged the public to disregard the fake letter and remain vigilant against fraudulent schemes, advising job seekers to report any suspected scams to the appropriate authorities.
