Napoli boss Luciano Spalletti was asked what he thinks of Pep Guardiola’s praise of his team:
“I’m not proud of Guardiola’s praise for us, that’s a little game he’s playing that we all know. If City can spend €900M and we can only spend €9M, there’s a reason. That game he’s playing means ‘we’ll place you up there so that you can definitely fall’.”
This is what Pep had said, earlier, of the Partenopei before this week’s UCL games: “Napoli is perhaps the strongest team this year in Europe, as a game they are very similar to Arsenal.”
Seems nobody wants to be praised by Pep these days!
