When Johnson Asiedu Nketia, the national chairman of the National Democratic Congress (NDC), was mistakenly introduced as the chairman of the New Patriotic Party (NPP) at a public function on Sunday, he turned the incident into a humorous moment.
“Let me gladly accept the honor conferred on me as the Acting National Chairman of the NPP by His Majesty, the representative of the King of Mamprusi,” Asiedu Nketiah said in his humorous response to the blunder, which was promptly fixed. He is our grandfather, so I can’t refuse the title that has been given to me,” he continued, causing the audience to chuckle.
Asiedu Nketia continued in joke, saying that considering the political situation, the mislabeled title would not be entirely out of the question.
The NPP National Chairman comes from my place, thus it is appropriate and appropriate. Although we are brothers, he has regretfully gone into hiding after their defeat. Therefore, I have taken on the obligation if someone else needs to handle things while he is away.
He made a lighthearted promise to back his political rivals as he concluded his remarks:
“Until my brother arrives, I’ll be acting. Please feel free to contact me if the NPP needs advice.
