Tension is mounting at Tamale Technical University as students protest against the management of the institution over a 15% increment in school fees. The protest, which started on Monday, has disrupted academic activities on campus.

According to the students, the increment is unjustified and would impose an unbearable burden on them and their families. They argue that the management did not consult with them before announcing the increment, and the decision was taken without considering the current economic hardship faced by many students.
Speaking to some of the protesting students, they expressed their frustration over the situation, saying that they are finding it difficult to cope with the cost of living on campus, let alone an increase in school fees.

Meanwhile, the management of the institution has called for calm, assuring the students that they are working on a solution to address their concerns. However, the students are demanding an immediate reversal of the increment and a refund of any fees paid in excess of the previous amount.
The protest has attracted the attention of the local media, with some journalists on the scene to cover the demonstration. The police have also been deployed to the campus to maintain law and order and to prevent any further escalation of the situation.
The Tamale Technical University management is yet to release an official statement on the matter, but the students have vowed to continue their protest until their demands are met.

The situation at Tamale Technical University remains tense, and stakeholders are calling for a peaceful resolution to the impasse to prevent any further disruption of academic activities on campus.
